Privacy policy

This policy explains how SelectVoice collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you visit the site, create an account, make a purchase, or upload media for processing.

Short version

We do
  • Process media within our own privately managed infrastructure.
  • Temporarily store files in private systems using signed, non-public access links.
  • When an account opts in, use uploads it rates thumbs-down for quality review and to evaluate, develop, train, and improve audio-extraction models.
  • Encrypt data in transit and at rest.
  • Automatically delete standard-retention media on schedule and opted-in quality-review copies within 30 days.
We do not
  • Sell or share your media for advertising.
  • Send uploaded video or audio to external AI services for processing.
  • Keep media copies retained through the opted-in quality program for more than 30 days.
  • Routinely review uploaded media outside the opted-in quality program, support, security, abuse prevention, or legal requirements.
  • Make uploaded or processed files publicly accessible.

Details

Uploaded media
When you upload video or audio to SelectVoice, we use it to run the voice isolation job you request. Standard-retention uploads are deleted after processing completes, currently within 24 hours. The quality-improvement program below is a limited exception for signed-in account uploads covered by both an opt-in preference and a thumbs-down rating.
Help improve audio extraction
Signed-in account users may be asked, "Help SelectVoice improve audio extraction?" If you opt in, account uploads you subsequently rate thumbs-down may be copied and retained for up to 30 days. If the question follows a thumbs-down rating and you opt in, that current upload may also be included. A limited authorized team may access the upload and related result for quality review. SelectVoice may use them to evaluate, develop, train, and improve its audio-extraction models and features. Prior uploads and uploads not covered by both the preference and a thumbs-down rating remain on the standard retention schedule.
Quality-improvement preference
You can change this preference in your account settings. Turning it off stops future uploads from entering the program and deletes retained quality-review copies. Aggregate learnings and model changes already produced through the program may persist after those copies are deleted.
Processing artifacts
Voice isolation may require temporary intermediate data, including extracted frames, face detections, face crops, audio segments, intermediate files, status events, and processing logs. These artifacts exist only to complete the requested job and are deleted automatically with the job or earlier.
Processed results
After processing, SelectVoice stores the output briefly so you can preview or download the result. Standard-retention results are available for a limited download window, currently up to 7 days, and are deleted automatically after that window closes. Copies included in the opted-in quality-improvement program may be retained for up to 30 days as described above.
Download links
Download access is provided through signed, expiring links. Link expiration controls access to a file; file deletion follows the retention schedule described in this policy. Uploaded and processed files are not public or indexable.
Infrastructure and service providers
Media processing runs inside SelectVoice-controlled infrastructure. We do not send uploaded video or audio to external AI services for processing. Google Cloud provides infrastructure, storage, and compute services. Stripe processes payments, and we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Security
We use standard technical safeguards to protect uploaded media, intermediate files, processed outputs, and account-related information. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Uploads are processed automatically and are not routinely reviewed by people. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel for service operation, support, security, debugging, abuse prevention, quality review under the opted-in program, or legal compliance.
Analytics and logs
We collect operational and product usage data needed to run, secure, debug, and improve the service. This may include job status, upload size, processing duration, errors, browser or device information, and feature usage. Operational analytics do not include the contents of uploaded media; the separate opt-in quality-improvement program is described above.
Free trial abuse prevention
For signed-out free previews, we may use derived hashed device identifiers, IP address signals, and related request metadata to prevent repeated abuse of the free trial. These identifiers are used for abuse prevention, are not used for advertising, and are not used to create an account by default.
Deletion requests
Media files are automatically deleted according to the retention schedules above. You may turn off the quality-improvement preference in account settings or contact us to request deletion of account data or media-related records. Some records may be retained where required for billing, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Aggregate learnings and model changes already produced through the quality-improvement program may persist.

Signed-out email notifications

Collection and use
If you choose email notification for a signed-out free demo, we collect the email address you provide and associate it with that trial job. We use it to send one result-ready or processing-failed notice. We do not use this address to create an account or send marketing email.
Delivery and abuse prevention
Resend processes the address and message content on our behalf to deliver these transactional emails. We also store hashed email and network identifiers, request counts, and notification status to secure the feature and prevent abuse.
Confirmation, unsubscribe, and retention
Email notification is optional and requires confirmation. Messages include a cancellation or unsubscribe link, and result links expire. Notification records may be retained after links expire for delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. You may request deletion using the contact below.
